Who We Are

Greasy Ballers Lacrosse is operated by 1001170614 Ontario Ltd., of 9020 Dagmar Rd, Ashburn, Ontario L0B 1A0. Questions about this policy, or a request to access or correct your information, can be sent to hello@greasyballers.com.

What We Collect

We collect registration information — player name, date of birth, division, and guardian contact details (name, email, phone) — solely to administer our programs. We collect only what we need to run the league and tournament safely and effectively.

How We Use It

Your information is used to manage registration, communicate program updates (schedule changes, venue info, results), and ensure player safety on and off the floor. We do not use your data for marketing without consent.

Payments

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We never store your card number, CVV, or full payment details on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy governs their handling of payment data.

We Never Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party, ever. We do not share data with advertisers.

Children's Information

Most of our participants are under 18. We collect a child's name, date of birth and division only so we can place them in the right age group and keep them safe. A parent or legal guardian provides that information and gives consent during registration — we never collect it from a child directly.

Photographs

We take photographs and video at our games and practices, and we use them to show people what the league is like. We do our best not to publish pictures in which a child can be identified. In practice that means wide shots of play, action from a distance, equipment and the rink, rather than close portraits.

We cannot control what anybody else photographs in a public arena, and we do not try to. This is about what we publish.

We will not always get this right. If you see a photograph of your child, or of yourself, that you would rather we did not use, email us at hello@greasyballers.com and tell us where you saw it. You do not have to explain why. We will take it down, normally within two business days, and we will not ask you to justify the request.

Registration asks separately whether you agree to your child being photographed for our social media and promotion. That question is optional, your answer never affects a registration, and you can change it at any time by emailing us.

How Long We Keep It

We keep personal information only as long as we need it, then destroy it.

Registration and contact details — 7 years after the player's last season

They form part of our business records, which the Canada Revenue Agency requires us to keep for six years from the end of the relevant tax year.

Waivers and concussion acknowledgements — until the participant turns 20, or 7 years, whichever is later

For a participant under 18, the time limit to bring a claim does not begin until they turn 18. Destroying a release earlier would remove the record of what a guardian agreed to, exactly when it matters.

Payment records — 7 years

Required for tax and accounting. We hold the amount, date and reference — never card numbers.

Emails you send us — 2 years, or sooner on request

So we can follow up on a question or a complaint.

Photographs and video from our programs — Until you ask us to stop using them

We use them to promote the league. Ask and we will remove what we control.

Who Else Handles It

We use a small number of service providers to run the league. They may only use your information to provide their service to us. Where a provider is outside Canada, your information may be accessible to the courts and law enforcement of that country.

Stripe — United States

Processes card payments. We never see or store your card number.

Resend — United States

Sends our confirmation and program emails.

Vultr — Toronto, Canada

Hosts our website and database.

If Something Goes Wrong

If personal information in our care is lost or accessed without authorisation, and there is a real risk of significant harm to you, we will tell you and report it to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as the law requires. We keep a record of every such incident.

The Privacy Officer, Greasy Ballers Lacrosseis responsible for our compliance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). If we have not resolved your concern, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. To make a request, email us at hello@greasyballers.com. We will respond within 30 days. There is no charge.
